Finch Arts
(Kyoto)
FINCH ARTS presents three artists, Masato Mizutani, Yumi Nishimura, and Kazuki Takakura. Mizutani creates tense paintings with his characteristic method of squeezing paint from the back of the panel. Nishimura explores the possibility of paintings in which material and narrative are in opposition, and is currently working on the subject of “graphic characters” that have a high affinity with this goal. Kazuki Takakura uses technologies such as 3DCG, pixel animation, 3D printing, VR, and NFT to create works on the theme of rewriting the rules of contemporary art through Eastern thought and pursuing new values in digital data.
