Kayokoyuki
(Tokyo)
Established in 2011, and have continually participated in international art fairs as NADA Miami and Paris International, KAYOKOYUKI works mainly with Japanese artists, introducing contemporary art around the world while respecting the course of Japanese contemporary art cultivated by grand forerunners. Artists represented include Yohei Imamura, Shiho Kagabu, Yu Nishimura, Ayako Ohno, Emi Otaguro, Hikaru Suzuki, Michi Suwa, Daichi Takagi, and Masanori Tomita.
KAYOKOYUKI organizes exhibitions not only with artists it represents but also with galleries and artists from various countries and backgrounds as a means to contribute to a further development of contemporary art within Japan. Additionally, the gallery co-works with artists with unique perspectives towards the mysteries behind experiences—incorporating ephemeral images derived from various objects in their lives—and aims to realize works, which act as an apparatus in providing hints for coexisting, in this society of divergent values and social fragmentations.
