4649 and King’s Leap will present a two-person show by Emi Mizukami and Stefany Lazar at Art Collaboration Kyoto 2022.
Stefany Lazar was born in 1995 and lives and works in New York. Her exhibitions include group shows at ACOMPI (NY), Alyssa Davis Gallery (NY), 4649 (Tokyo), and King’s Leap (NY) in 2022.
Emi Mizukami, born 1993, is a Tokyo-based painter whose work has been featured in VOCA Exhibition 2022 (Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo), solo shows at CADAN Yurakucho and 4649 (Tokyo), as well as exhibitions at Now Here (NY), Each Modern (Taipei), No Gallery (NY).

4649 (f. 2018) is a curatorial project and gallery in Sugamo, Tokyo run by artists Yuhei Kobayashi, Shogo Shimizu and Yuu Takamizawa. 4649’s on-site programme focuses on exhibitions with emerging, international artists to introduce their work to the Tokyo art scene. 4649 also participates in off-site projects, exhibiting Tokyo-based artists internationally. Recent exhibitions include Emi Mizukami (2022), Calvin Miceli-Nelson and Shogo Shimizu (2021), 'Contrastissimo' (2020), Pina, Vienna (2020), Ella Fleck and Tabitha Steinberg (2020), Alex Dolan and Jasper Spicero (2019), presentations at NADA Miami Project Booth (2018~2021) and more.

King’s Leap

King's Leap was established in Brooklyn, New York in 2017, moved to Tribeca in 2019, and is now based in the Lower East Side. It operates with a focus on eclectic arrangements of emerging, local, and international artists. In addition to managing King's Leap's exhibitions and artists, they have just founded “Sapp Press”, a publishing company that releases fiction, prose, and books related to its artists in 2020.
